Rough Trim Standards
- If the jobsite is not clean when you arrive, notify the site superintendent.
- Clean and swept jobsite when complete.
- All plastic bottles and trash in the dumpster.
- No fires on the jobsite at anytime
- Do not park on customers' concrete driveways.
- Weatherstriping around scuttle holes and attic access ladders.
- Scuttle Holes:
- Trim around scuttle holes should overhang ½”.,
- Scuttle holes to be covered with a piece of ¾” smooth plywood.
- The ¾” plywood should have two handles.
- Attach 3-4 layers of foam insulation to the back of the ¾” plywood.
- Margins for door trim and window trim should be 3/16”
- Check sheetrock corners for kickout (⅛” max)
- Screw garage door trim boards with a minimum of 3.5” screws
- Install one 3” screw in each hinge on all interior and exterior doors.
- Install a 3” screws in all striker plates for exterior doors
- Ensure all margins between the door slab and the door jamb are consistent
- 3/16” reveal all door trim and window trim.
- Ensure that all doors and windows open and close properly
- Ensure that bi-hinge and bi-fold doors are flush when the doors are closed.
- Sill and Jamb protection on all exterior doors
- Place a lock box with a key in it on the entry door with key in the lockbox. The code should be 0150.
- Double sided lock dead bolts on exterior doors except the construction entrance door to prevent contractors from using any door other than garage/house door.
- Jamb protection on all doors
- Pour HVAC pads taking final grade into account
- Ensure that 1X12 for closet shelves are onsite so that they can be painted
